Shannon Freeman, housewife and mother to one son, lives with her family and a pair of cats in Bellingham, Washington. Her interests include reading, drawing, and graphic design. Shannon has also been interested in scrapbooking for several years, ever since the birth of her son. Intimidated by the sheer volume of products available, she eventually turned to the computer, intending to use it merely as a tool for drafting layout sketches. Before too long, she saw that the apples and oranges really were both fruits despite certain differences, and left the physical product behind in favor of digital creations.
Shannon has been computer scrapbooking since December of 2002. Her work has been featured regularly in Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks and Memory Makers, as well as Scrapbooks Etc. and PaperKuts. Shannon was profiled in A Simple Guide to Digital Scrapbooking (Issue 2), a featured expert in Simple Scrapbook's Ask The Experts Digital Chat (with Molly Newman), and was recently awarded an honorable mention in the 2005 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame contest.
We are beyond thrilled to have Shannon join SomethingBlueStudios as this month's Guest Designer. She's a rock star in the digital world, and her work is always fresh and exciting. Check back here all month to see what she's done with our designs.
