After a sister-in-law urged her to check out the online site of 2peasinabucket, Deb has been hooked on scrapbooking ever since. It was a natural fit for this homeshool mom to 3 and graphic artist. Recently, she was encouraged by her husband to give the digital arts a try. "I always tell him 'Never!'…then slowly come around to his ideas; it was the same with email, cell phones, computers…etc." However, discovering all the many beautiful digital kits on the market spurred her on to give it a try. She feels it goes beyond the benefit of being 'mess free'…it taps into a creative vein that has never before been unleashed in her. The limitless possibilities and the options of a layout or project keeps her hooked…yet she still considers herself 'biscraptual' using both mediums regularly to create. Deb has been published numerous times in the monthly magazines and idea books of Memory Makers , Creating Keepsakes, and just recently Simple Scrapbooks Digital Four. Last year she was given Top 20 honors for Memory Makers Masters and this year was named Honorable Mention in the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Contest. She loves so many different fonts that it would be impossible to list a favorite, but did mention that her own handwriting is something she turns to most often. In fact, recently Deb was chosen by Creating Keepsakes to have it made it to a font…named 'CK Toehead' after her nickname. When not scrapbooking, she enjoys photography, drawing, and especially taking mini vacations with the family.Seeing Deb's digi work, you'd never ever guess she's only been doing this since May. She's definitely got a gift, and we're so grateful that she's willing to share it with us here at SomethingBlue. Get ready for some major eye candy! Thank you Deb!
